Warriors WrapUp: Golden State rallies to beat T-Wolves 116-108

The Warriors were down 10 entering the fourth quarter against Minnesota on Sunday, but came back to win the thing going away. The victory means that Golden State now has a streak of 111 games without a consecutive loss.

Included below is a link to “Warriors WrapUp” on 95.7 FM The Game, an hour postgame show about the game. Among the topics:

–It was a little bit different recipe for a comeback by Golden State. The start of the fourth quarter, which then led to the middle of the fourth quarter was played without Stephen Curry or Draymond Green on the floor. And it didn’t stop the Warriors from going on a 22-4 run.

Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and David West were all a big part of the rally — along with Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

–At 6-18, it’s fair to say the T-Wolves are underachieving. Despite a roster that many believe unique and talented — though young — Minnesota can’t get anything going. Tom Thibodeau is too good of a coach to be getting this kind of result but you can’t help but wonder if there isn’t a disconnect here.

NBA This Week: Warriors, Clippers, Jazz, Frank Isola, Eric Hasseltine, Tim Bontemps

On latest “NBA This Week” on 95.7 FM-The Game (flagship of the Golden State Warriors), John and I discussed the Warriors’ recent victories over the LA Clippers and Utah Jazz.

The Warriors completely handled the Clippers on Wednesday night, then followed that up with a victory over the injury-ravaged Jazz, who were missing George Hill, Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, Rodney Hood and Alex Burks.

In addition to plenty of NBA talk, Dickinson and I interviewed Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Eric Hasseltine of the Memphis Grizzlies and Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post.

Warriors WrapUp: Grizzlies hammer Golden State 110-89

Going to try to start posting things like this more frequently. Below is a link to “Warriors WrapUp” on 95.7-FM The Game from Saturday night’s game. The Memphis Grizzlies pounded the Warriors 110-89 in Memphis, which snapped Golden State’s eight-game road winning streak.

Here are just a few of the topics:

–How the Memphis Grizzlies are the same but different. They really looked like an interesting team. The still have their “core 4” of Mike Conley, Tony Allen, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol but they’ve added some youth and athleticism which gives them another dimension.

–Steph Curry is in the middle of a shooting slump. He’s connecting on “only” 39.4 percent from beyond the arc, which would be a career-low by far. Is this something to worry about or are we talking blip on the radar.
