Paying tribute to those around the NBA we lost in 2016

I’m lucky enough to work with Tim Roye, radio voice of the Golden State Warriors, and his producer: R.C. Davis. The two of them put together a terrific retrospective of some of the people in and around the NBA that we lost in 2016.

It’s a wonderful remembrance of a lot of great names and a lot of great people associated with the game of basketball. Trust me, it’s more informative and uplifting than it is maudlin. The piece starts at the 18:30 mark.

Here are some of the people to whom we wanted to pay tribute:

–Nate Thurmond, Craig Sager, Sean Rooks, Pearl Washington, John Johnson, Michael Brooks, Greg Ballard, Jim McMillan, Clyde Lovelette, Johnny Bach, and others.
