Ray Ratto: On 2014-15 Warriors

Ray Ratto is among the most knowledgeable sportswriters/media personalities in the country/world, and we’re lucky enough to have him in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ratto, who goes back to the ownership days of Franklin Meuli, talked at length about the current version of the Golden State Warriors, the NBA’s hottest story this year.

Can the Warriors win it all? Where will the parade be if and when they do win the NBA title? What three things would Warriors owner Joe Lacob love to do over if he had the chance? Is the new arena in San Francisco destined to ruin one of the last truly special venues in professional sports: Oracle?

Who’s the second-most important player on the Warriors this season? Which are the teams most likely to eliminate Golden State?

Ratto answers all those questions, and makes a point of giving Lacob absolute credit for one thing he did to elevate the Warriors into the league’s elite.

You can listen to Ratto’s thoughts on the Warriors and other sports topics on this week’s Sal and Steiny Podcast:
