‘Sal and Steiny’: Super Bowl aftermath; Kings beat Warriors in overtime; Green and Durant get into it on sidelines

We talked plenty of sports on the latest “Sal and Steiny” podcast. Obviously we talked Patriots-Falcons Super Bowl, with Castaneda giving some television ratings insight on the event.

Tom Brady or Joe Montana? Was Lady Gaga good or bad? Wasn’t it nice to see George Bush Sr.? How were the commercials?

Castaneda and Steinmetz discussed the Warriors, and their 109-106 overtime loss to the Kings in Sacramento over the weekend. Draymond Green, always in eye of a possible Warriors’ storm, got into a shouting match with Kevin Durant during a timeout. We’ll see what comes of that, but another topic was the interest level in the Warriors — not quite what it was at this time last year.

‘Warriors WrapUp’: Kings deal Warriors an unexpected loss — 109-106 in OT; Kerr ejected; Green plays after tough fall; Cousins too much; Curry can’t get a couple to drop late

It’s always the ones you never figure, right? The Warriors had been playing terrific, winners of 12 of their past 13, and they were headed to Sacramento to play the Kings — a team they’d been dominating in the recent past.

But in a quirky, off-balance, something-not-quite-right game, the Kings beat the Warriors 109-106 in overtime. Coming in, the Warriors had beaten the Kings 13 straight times. Nevertheless, the Kings got solid performances from several players; the Warriors from just a few.

Here’s link to “Warriors WrapUp,” the postgame show on 95.7-FM The Game.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr got ejected; Draymond Green got hurt late in the second quarter and didn’t make it to the bench to start the second half; Stephen Curry had a potential game-winning 3-pointer go in and out, then missed a little peeper that could have given the Warriors a late lead.

Lots happened, including the Kings outplaying the Warriors.
