Warriors beat Magic, but win isn’t the story

Warriors beat Orlando 121-115 on Tuesday to snap a three-game losing streak. But the game, itself, isn’t likely to be the biggest topic on “Steiny and Guru.” Put it this way: There’s a lot going on with the Warriors right now.

Some bullet points for the show:

** Draymond Green and the Warriors haven’t been around each other, according to Steve Kerr. The Warriors and Green are giving each other “space.” It’s clear, right? The Warriors told Green to stay away from the team while he’s serving his NBA suspension. While Green is able to practice with the team at the facility, he hasn’t.

The irony seems to be that while there aren’t many updates, it feels like this thing coming to a head.

**Some really heartfelt and honest comments by Klay Thompson after the game last night.

**Gary Payton II injured his calf last night and is likely to miss time. That means two rotation players continue to be out: Payton II and Green. But I think that’s a blessing in disguise. That gives Kerr two less options, and this rotation is too big anyway.

**Question: Why have the Warriors had a lame duck president and lame duck coach in consecutive years?

**Don’t get me started on the NBA’s “clutch time” statistics. I’ll get more into it on today’s show on 95.7-The Game.
